The Rio Hondo-Vernon Rotary Club was chartered in November of 1953, and is an IRS-designated non-profit 501(c)(3). The Club was sponsored by the South Gate Rotary Club. In 2023, our Club will commemorate 70 years in existence!
Our Club serves the cities of Bell, Bell Gardens, Commerce, Cudahy, Huntington Park, Maywood, and Vernon, CA. Our focus is believing in and helping our youth, taking pride in our community, reaching out to those in need, and building enduring friendships.
We are a part of Rotary International, a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service and encourages high ethical standards in all vocations. In 2004, Rotary International celebrated 100 Years.
Carrying on, as we are, a service club, we exist for the purpose of doing good in our communities, the world, in charitable, educational or other avenues of community progress, and such funds raised annually could be well used for extension work.
